With temperatures soaring into the 30’s, it was time for Hawaiian slack key.

Today it was back to everyday life. I actually enjoy food shopping.

Notified of flight delay during our bar lunch at Grand Central Terminal. Enjoyed bonus 2-hour walk instead of going straight to LaGuardia.

Being Minnesotan, we were grateful our cheaper seats at “The Comet of 1812” on Broadway kept us from interacting with the actors, mostly.

Explored the Brooklyn waterfront, then walked back to Manhattan across the Brooklyn Bridge.

We flew all the way to New York, and ended up in Hershey’s Chocolate World where we bought (and soon consumed) dark peanut butter cups.

Walked past 19th century homes on Nicollet Island in the middle of the Mississippi, close to Downtown.

Explored a timely collection of photographs at the Minneapolis Institute of Art: “Resistance, Protest, Resilience.”

On my walk, popped into the Walker Art Center to “Question the Wall Itself.”

Posted A Constant Supply of Fresh Spices.

With the Super Bowl about to start, it was time to walk to the Lagoon to see a good movie, Hidden Figures.

Netted $256 for Doctors Without Borders via eBay from camera gear that had been hiding in a cupboard for 20+ years.

On my Lake of the Isles jog today: Icehenge setup. The wooden forms will be removed and the resultant ice columns illuminated by candles.

Toured the billion dollar US Bank Stadium. I saw some of the thousands of feet of pipes for the centralized beer distribution system.

Colder weather = 15% discount on my Joe’s Brrr Bar today.

Joined 5,000 fellow protesters outside the Federal Courthouse, downtown Minneapolis. “No hate, no fear, refugees are welcome here.”
