Got with a friend over coffee… and pastry. Resistance was futile.

My new after-lunch treat: an Americano. Weight gain is a side-effect of my cancer therapy. The simple solution is fewer capuccinos and pastries.

Grain elevators made way for housing as we cycled through Nordeast Minneapolis.

Cycled past blossom partially eclipsing a former sporting house.

Popped into Freewheel Bike to buy a new bike lock. The old lock could be opened with a pen.

Evaluated WordPress as a replacement for my current blogging tool, Blogger.

Cycled in pursuit of inspiration. Came up dry at City Salvage.

Posted Milwaukee Avenue: When Citizens Resist.

While a windshield was being replaced, walked across a landscape of functional structures and roads without sidewalks.

Spent my afternoon in an inclusive place.

“Discovered” the Milwaukee Avenue Historic District: two car-free city blocks of small homes built in the 1890’s. I’m left wondering what other gems I’ve missed in our neighborhood.

Cycled over to Methodist Hospital for my quarterly labs. Tumor continues to be undetectable, thanks to ADT and Abiraterone. There’s no cure, but I’m gladly living with dormant tumor.

Cycled to the grocery store. I’m still figuring out the best balance of distance, aesthetics, and safety.

It still feels like a new experience to have a family meal in a restaurant and our young nephews haven’t trashed the place. Axel’s Bonfire, Blaine, Minnesota. They grow up fast.

Walked to Orchestra Hall.
