Simple pleasure at Rustica. OK, I admit it, I also had one of their fancy pastries (a pain aux raisins).

Simplified my cyber life: transferred a bunch of Internet domains to Google Domains.

Walked to Uptown to escape to a guilty pleasure, “La La Land”.

Stood on our porch, watching the 2016 sun go down for the last time.

Walked along the near-grayscale Kenilworth Trail.

Lunch with friends at a new French restaurant in South Minneapolis.

Walked to lunch with a friend at Bryant-Lake Bowl: excellent, locally sourced food. Yes there really is a theater: it puts on edgy stuff.

Final visit to local pizza joint, Green Mill on Hennepin, pizza of choice for almost 40 years. New restaurant concept wins, memories remain.

Today: British Christmas cake baked by a friend visiting from the UK. Booze-fortified fruit cake, lots of marzipan, icing, evoked memories.

Pulled Christmas crackers containing flimsy paper hats, riddles and cheap plastic toys. A British tradition now available at Target stores.

Blue was the dominant color as I walked beside Lake of the Isles today.
