Cycled past reflections in the Mississippi: emerging Fall colors and the University of Minnesota Medical Center – East Bank.

Walked over to the Vikings stadium to serve as bleacher uncles. Our ten-year-old nephew was playing football, a dot in our field of view.

Walked to Orchestra Hall for a Minnesota Orchestra concert.

Spotted a mouse door outside Corner Coffee, Minneapolis North Loop.

On my cycle ride: minimal vs. Baroque. The sculpture, “Theaster Gates,” contains a statue of the patron saint of librarians and archivists.

I’ll be riding the rails before too long. An exchange order for a Japan Rail pass arrived in the mail.

One final mow. I abandoned the mower at the next-door neighbors’ house.

At the end of our run, bought vegetables, bread, and muffins at Mill City Farmers Market.

Cycled under an old railroad bridge that spans the Mississippi. It evoked thoughts of my childhood Meccano (Erector) set which I still have.

Wheeled our bikes along a muddy track beside Bassett Creek, past the abandoned Fruen/ConAgra mill, and on to Utepils Brewery and free beer.

Poked dormant parts of my brain, tutoring GED preparation.
