Prepared dinner with carefully curated ingredients: everything left over from Thanksgiving, except pumpkin pie, stuffing and cranberry. Tomorrow: farce galettes au compote de canneberges (stuffing patties with stewed cranberry for dipping).

Cycled to Methodist Hospital for my quarterly injection to suppress tumor. For now it’s working well, tumor is undetectable. I’m grateful.

With temperatures soaring into the 40’s it was time for a bike ride. The Grain Belt Beer sign was erected in 1941.

When I explore our new neighborhood I keep finding new stuff. Today I spotted these paver bricks in a courtyard at the headquarters of the American Academy of Neurology. Bricks name about 300 brain diseases.

Planned a coast-to-coast hike across a narrow part of England, following Hadrian’s Wall.

Walked over to Mill City Farmers Market to stock up on local veggies, pasta, cheese, and bread.

On my freezing walk, looked through the mist rising off the Mississippi’s St. Anthony Falls towards cranes working on our future home.

Our flowering Christmas cactus reminded me it was cold outside. Mittens were a necessity today.
