We cycled from our house until we found Oak Ridge (a hotel), our home tonight.

Cycled with a friend to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum where we looked for LEGO sculptures.

Cycled past Fort Snelling.

Went to the top of an old flour mill, now a museum. This is part of a flour dust collection system.

The Mill City Museum became an expressionist painting when reflected in the mirrored panels of The Guthrie Theater.

Foraged at the co-op. We’re entering the best time of the year for food shopping.

At Brickmania, in a former WW2 bombsight factory, followed balls rolling through a giant kinetic K’Nex sculpture.

Took our car in for a service. Cycled home on my “perfect blend of form and function”–I can’t say that about the car.

Booked flights for an adventure with our nephews (they’ll be 7 and 8) and their parents.

On cycle ride today: marker for soldier who fought in Civil War, Minneapolis Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery.

My bicycling theme today: derelict, repurposed, and working grain elevators.

Caught up with a friend while walking round three lakes. The Google decided Lake Harriet should be black and white.

We stopped at Steel Toe microbrewery for excellent beer and pupus (Kailua Pork from Tiki Tim’s food truck).

Paused our bikes at a lock on the Mississippi near Hastings, Minnesota.
