Calm before the storm: solo cycle on Chain of Lakes. The storm: The Tornadic Two (nephews) are about to take charge.

Word of the day: Bucolic. Cycled the Douglas Trail: Pine Island to North Rochester and back. We earned our Blizzards.

This morning, I was tweaking my LEGO derailleur, v1.0, when the sun came out, and the power went out. Time for a run.

The rain set in for the day at the end of my run: a good reason to stay inside and build a derailleur with LEGO.

The Green Line is about to open, so I wrote about walking the route of the Green Line.

Cycled to a business meeting with Allina Health in a repurposed Sears department store.

Spent morning at Minneapolis Central Library discussing, among other things, Microsoft Access. Walked there and back.

Longest ride this year: 39 miles round-trip on Luce Line. Revived by a frosted cinnamon roll, mid-ride, at Watertown.

After a walk with a friend, popped into downtown Whole Foods for 2 items. Left with 10 items stuffed in my backpack.

After a day of jogging, gardening, and cycling, we let others cook a rather good dinner for us.

Rainy day, so isolated and fixed a problem with a control cable. Had to test continuity at four locations.

Cycled across the Mississippi on Stone Arch Bridge on the way to Roseville to meet a friend for lunch.

Cycled with a friend to Lake Como, St. Paul. Enjoyed an ice cream, then cycled back.

Caught this view when I walked out of Minneapolis Central Library today.
