LEGO Manual Transmission
Built this transmission: 3-speed, stick-shift, clutch. I built it for myself but I will demonstrate it to my nephews.
Cheap Flight to Japan
Got up early to book flights from southern Japan when they opened up today. Round-trip: 70,000 frequent flyer miles.
Small Tasks
Today: small tasks and errands, including applying mulch. Still too soon to plant outside.
Bicycles Welcome Here
Cycled with a friend to Depot Coffee House in Hopkins where we stopped for a cuppa and spotted this mural.
14-Miler with Kid
We did a 14-miler. Along the way we visited a liquor store (to buy water), three geocaches, and Dairy Queen.
Reflections
Today, played with reflections at the Guthrie Theater then continued cycling down the Mississippi.
Annual Mounting of the Bike Rack
Mounted bike rack for the season: I’ll be using it this coming week to go cycling with a nephew.
Ramps and Morels
Cycled to Wedge Co-op and picked up ramps from Wisconsin and some of these morels (from Oregon). It’s a short season.
Getting Ready for Planting
Rain stopped, sun shone, I shot out into yard to replace soil in a wall planter for tomatoes. It’s too soon to plant.
Good-Time Ducks
On my Lake of the Isles walk today, the ducks were also having a good time.
Collecting Annuals
Today we loaded up with annuals. It’s too soon/cold to plant outside, but we can prepare pots and baskets inside.

Mandatory Ice Cream
Another soggy day. Waited at Sebastian Joe’s for a bus to take me to the library. Had to have ice cream, of course.
Rain Bouncing off Ground
All day today the rain is bouncing off the ground. A good day to be inside, planning and reading.
Repairing Irrigation
Lazy day, minor achievements. Repaired irrigation damaged by snow plow.
