Cycled between Rushford and Houston in southern Minnesota, then restored ourselves with lefse.

A good start to the day: pain suisse and coffee, no charge at Spyhouse. An earlier customer was paying it forward.

Today’s trip: mailbox to recycling bin, unopened. I try to approach each journey as a prototype for the next one.

Cycled a long loop to Victory 44 for dinner.

I’m satisfying a craving for Japanese comfort food: katsudon (panko pork cutlets), short-grain rice, curry sauce.

A storm was coming in from the west as I cycled across Stone Arch Bridge towards downtown Minneapolis.

Cycled past Minnehaha Falls. In 1964 fire hydrants were opened upstream to create this effect for Lyndon Johnson.

Planned an old-fashioned afternoon tea in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, for family and friends.

Porch, Memorial Day.

Plumbed-in pots. Drippers and driplines make it easier to travel.

Tonight: dinner with friends at the Surly Brewery. We enjoyed their pleasant, quiet restaurant upstairs.

Rainy day, a good day to spend our 2015 dividend at REI Co-op.
