Saved PDFs of all the documentation for our appliances. Deposited the paper documents in the recycling bin.

Cycled past the Sigma Alpha Mu frat house in Dinkytown, Minneapolis. In 1959, Robert Zimmerman was a member for a short time while he was enrolled at the University of Minnesota. Around that time he began introducing himself as “Bob Dylan.”

Mr. Ratburn walks up the aisle with his husband-to-be, Patrick the aardvark. Finally I found daytime television worth watching, but not in Alabama where the episode is banned.

Every time I cycle past the BNSF Northtown Yard I like to stop and watch.

Visited a food laboratory where new products are developed for Bellisio Foods in downtown Minneapolis. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis and owns national brands, including Boston Market.

From our home, we can see the Hennepin Island Hydroelectric Plant, opened in 1908 to power the streetcar system. In 2019, pretty much the same equipment powers 14,000 homes. Today we got to see the inside. Huge, blue conduits deliver Mississippi water to four turbines.

Cycled through Fort Snelling National Cemetery, surrounded by 225,000 graves of military veterans and their immediate families. Later this month, a flag will be placed at each veteran’s grave marker for Memorial Day.

Drums, chants, bison melt. Lunch at the Minneapolis American Indian Center after a morning of cartesian coordinates and citizenship.

On my cycle ride, the Hennepin Avenue bridge framed the Grain Belt Beer sign. The first bridge permanently spanning the Mississippi, anywhere, was opened here in 1855. The beer sign dates back to 1941.

Cycled around Nordeast Minneapolis, frequently changing direction on a whim.
