Washing Dishes

Cooked Thanksgiving dinner: braised turkey, stuffing, the works. Great company. Now the easy bit: washing dishes.

Walked round Lake Calhoun today. Watched geese ready to escape from encroaching ice.

Willow on running route today. Heard otherworldy squeaks when the breeze shifted ice forming on Lake of the Isles.

Foraged for essential ingredient for the holidays at Lunds, Uptown. Pie crust will be from scratch–thanks, Dwight.

Long shadows. Hit 57 degrees today: a day to be outside, exploring. Best to defer work and chores for another day.

Near Stone Arch Bridge today.

A good day to do Fall cleanup.

Ready for the hordes of begging kids this evening.

Leaves now falling in earnest. This morning, tried to stay ahead of the game: bagged leaves for city composting.

Icy snow pellets falling on dry leaves played the soundtrack for my Lake of the Isles jog today.
