The Second City
Enjoying beer waiting for Chicago’s The Second City to start. Improv’s holy of holies. The beer will help me to ROFL.
Robie House
Visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House, self-described cornerstone of modern architecture. Nothing modest here.
Farnsworth House
Walked into architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s idea: the Farnsworth House, near Plano, Illinois.
Multi-Modal Journey to Chicago
Bike to Midtown (where I left my bike for a service), bus, LRT to airport, got paid for voluntary bump to earlier flight to Chicago MDW, El to downtown.
Walking
Walked past bleachers for tonight’s Aquatennial Parade. I prefer to walk than to watch people walking.
Unnatural Colors
Nephews ingested unnaturally colored dipped cones. Returned them to Mom covered in fake tattoos and cycling wounds.
Making a Breeze
Hot, humid day, so made a breeze by cycling from Fort Snelling to St. Paul. Explored Mendota Heights on the way back.
Cycling the Loop
Breakfast at Bread and Pickle on Lake Harriet, then continued cycling past the receding floodwaters of Minnehaha Creek.
Good Eats, Good Day
A run, gardening, lunch with a friend in our kitchen, a nap, reading, cycle to Victory 44 for good eats. A good day.
