Redesigning a Robot’s Joint

With temperatures dropping to single digits (Fahrenheit), decided to stay inside and rest my joints. Spent much of the day redesigning one of my robot’s six joints.

The smell of baking taunted me all afternoon. Dwight went through 1½ pounds of butter, and I overheard him asking Google to add sugar to our shopping list. ‘Tis the season.

On my way to a pharmacy counter, walked past extraordinary quantities of Cheez-Its that were insisting they’re 100% real.

No Travel This Winter

Cancelled the one winter trip we thought might be possible: a nonstop to Palm Springs. We’ll stay home, playing the hand we’ve been dealt, grateful for our health.

Light Rail Construction

Our cycle route included several diversions to avoid construction of a light rail system. This elaborate bridge and viaduct will take the cycle trail over an existing freight track, light rail tracks, and a busy road.
