On our walk: Looked up at the birthplace of the Milky Way bar about 100 years ago, soon after Frank Mars moved his candy company to this building. Today, products are transported from this building via fiber optic cables rather than trucks.

Where Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers Meet
Cycled, then walked to the point the Minnesota River(on right) joins the Mississippi River at Fort Snelling State Park.
Sitting Room
Reduced our sitting room to what we need/want. Shipped off a sofa, sofa table, and coffee table to be auctioned. A new sofa will arrive in August, but we’re not replacing the tables. Less is more.
Channelling Yogi Berra
Yogi Berra informed my cycle route today. When I came to a fork in the road, I took it. When I didn’t know where I was going, I ended up someplace else. It wasn’t over until it was over.
Age Surcharge
Came upon this when renting a car for a trip to New Zealand later this year when I’ll be 70. Felt indignant until I realized it says “*above* 70.” Now it feels like a reprieve.
Photobombing Opportunity
Encountered wedding parties on our walk. Resisted the temptation to photobomb.
Narcan
Called 911: a guy had passed out on a cycle path and was breathing intermittently. Before paramedics arrived, a physician from the county hospital just happened to cycle by. And, he just happened to have a narcan kit handy. An injection brought the patient back: he almost died.
Beer and Bar Food
Beer and bar food for dinner at Longfellow’s. Life’s good.
Como Park Conservatory
Como Park Conservatory on a cycle ride to St. Paul and beyond.
Only Looking
Avoided buyer’s remorse, only looked. Urban Garden Arts at the Minneapolis Farmers Market.
