Came home to this sight. At first I thought it was a pretend covered wagon, a thought I found unsettling. Turned out, Dwight was just air-drying a heated mattress pad he’d laundered before storing it for the winter.

Locked in the Loo
After the events of last night it felt good to resolve a small crisis today. A neighbors’ grandchild had locked herself in their bathroom. Eventually I figured out the right tool to unlock a door from the outside. Relief and joy ensued.
Organizing Project Parts
Returned parts from recent projects to assigned plastic shoeboxes or to a Habitat donation bag. Shoeboxes are the right size to group parts: bigger boxes hide clutter. Two of the brown crates hold parts for current projects. The process never ends: some shelves need work now,
A Star is Born
Dimmed the lights for night 3 of our musicals weekend. Tonight: A Star is Born (2018). Lady Gaga’s “La Vie en Rose,” performed in a gay bar, was affirmation, hope, and entertainment.
Cinco de Mayo Eats
Beans over rice for Cinco de Mayo. I made the bean dish ahead of time to allow flavors to develop.
