Needs and Wants
Started a needs and wants list for our next home.
Should’ve Been Easy…
Replaced the plates on our ’96 Honda using a sheet metal cutter, an electric drill, drywall mounting parts, and other miscellaneous tools.
Baby Turnips
Bought green-top turnips. Tonight I’ll cook a favorite dish braised turnip greens with turnips and apple.
Soo Line Trail
Paused our drive from “Up North” to cycle part of the Soo Line Trail. Cycled across the Mississippi near the Blanchard Dam.
Leech Lake Sunset
Watched the night come in. Leech Lake, Walker, Minnesota. “Up North.”
Heartland Trail Scenes
Scenes from cycling part of the Heartland Trail: World’s largest tiger muskie, creek crossing, trailside lemonade stand.
Hide the Garage Door Opener!
Loaded the car for a trip “Up North.” Hid the garage door opener to avert a collision when we return.
Blizzards for Elevenses
Parked our bikes at a Dairy Queen and waited for it to open at 11:00 a.m. Blizzards for elevenses!

Mayo’s Plummer Library
Between clinic appointments, walked through the Mayo’s Plummer Library. This is not a museum: staff and students study here.
Labs, Scans, Options
It’s not my usual travel: I’m in Rochester, Minnesota, guest of the Mayo brothers for two days: labs, scans, and review of options.
The Deluge
We timed our morning run well: the storm came in and the deluge started after we got home.
Where Are We Headed?
Pondered a sign as we pedaled the Midtown Greenway towards haircuts.
Eat and Plan
Cycled to a Nordeast Minneapolis hip spot where we met friends from Portland, Oregon, and planned to get together, down-under, in January.
Peace Garden
Walked through the Lyndale Park Peace Garden.
