Undersides
Cycled with a friend who wanted to take pictures of the undersides of bridges.
While Putin Denied…
While Putin denied, I cycled in search of Russia. I started at St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral and ended at a Russian Teahouse that’s closed until November when it will open once a week on Fridays for four hours.
Dog’s-Eye View
Dog’s-eye view, on my Nordeast Minneapolis bicycle meander.
Minnesota, Full-Throttle
Tonight, we go full-throttle Minnesotan: I’m making green bean hotdish topped with Tater Tots. OK, Spud Puppies, same thing. I’m going a little upmarket: no Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup, no French’s fried onions, and the green beans are fresh.
Japanese Kit Kats
Bought Japanese green tea/almond/cranberry Kit Kats for my nephews, one of over 300 flavors.

When New Beats Old
Researched furniture for our future condo. When we moved out of our house we realized it was better to get rid of furniture rather than pay to store it.
Bike-Sharing
I never imagined bike-sharing would be this popular. The app directed me to bikes a couple blocks away.
Waterfall and Blizzards
Cycled with a friend on bluffs above the Mississippi to a waterfall on the Vermillion River, Hastings. My friend’s wife drove us back to the Cities from a local Dairy Queen after we finished our Blizzards.
Dueling Divas
Tonight: Dueling Divas at the Dakota. Last month we saw these talented women in “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” at the Guthrie.
Ticking Headset
Lusted after the bikes at Hub Bike Co-op while a mechanic investigated a ticking sound coming from my bike’s headset. It had not ingested a mechanical clock.
Buying Locally
Bought locally. This Saturday farmers market near our home lets us stock up with local produce we’ll enjoy much of the week.
