Took the light rail to Santa Monica where we cycled on a path with beach on each side.

Flew to Los Angeles. Enjoyed a beer in a rooftop bar on the 73rd floor of our downtown LA hotel.

“Voted” using an old-school voting machine at the Minnesota History Center’s “1968 Exhibit.” I’ve already voted in today’s general election via mail.

Cycled over to Lunds & Byerlys to stock up on marmalade. My rules for marmalade are simple:…It doesn’t have “jelly” or “spread” on the label…Made with good, old-fashioned sugar (no other sweeteners)…You can’t read through it…Enjoying the marmalade requires chewing.

Spotted this horned bicycle while crawling artists’ studios in Nordeast Minneapolis. The frame, handlebars, seat, mudguards, and chain guard are all wood. It was not for sale.
Monetizing Dogs
On my way to the bus stop, walked past this new business: dog hotel, dog day care, dog spa, …. The frontage stretches almost half a block.

Laughed at “Noises Off, “ a play within a play, at the Guthrie. This British farce has many traditional elements: misunderstandings, lots of doors opening and closing, trousers around legs, the tryst in her underwear, and an increasingly frantic plot.
