Walked over to the Cedar for a sold-out performance by Beninese singer, Angélique Kidjo. “We’re all Africans.” We sometimes play her music when doing household chores: she gets you moving.
Bus to the Edge
Took a bus to the northern edge of Minneapolis. Walked back.
A Treasured Possession
Unpacked our last boxes. Reunited with my favorite radio, ever. It originally belonged to my paternal grandmother. When she died in 1959, it became my bedside radio. I would lie in the dark listening to comedies and dramas from the BBC Home Service.

Office Supplies
Filled a backpack with office supplies we will never use. Walked to a teachers’ union hall which has a room where teachers can stock up on supplies for their underfunded schools. Walked home, 30 pounds lighter.
Pacific Seafood
Paused my walk to admire the display at Coastal Seafoods and select some Petrale sole from the Pacific Coast. Tonight I’ll bake It in parchment.
Waiting for Spring
While I walked home from my Wednesday gig, bicycle racks with American Indian motifs waited for fair-weather cyclists like me.

Indoor Hike
Walked a few miles around Downtown with friends without ever going outside to the bitter cold. The Father of Waters towered over us in Minneapolis City Hall.
