Steam Rising in Frigid Air
Woke up this morning with steam rising in the frigid (-22°F) air above St. Anthony Falls.
Red, White, and Blue
Woke up to red, white, and blue beaming from the Capella Tower, downtown Minneapolis. It was easy to choose that today will be a great day.
A New View
Explored Minnehaha Park and the campus of the Minnesota Veterans Home with a friend. This Mississippi view was new to me: the dam, and a hydroelectric plant in the red-roofed building were owned by the Ford Motor Company to power the now-demolished Twin Cities Assembly Plant.
White Christmas
Woke up to an appropriately snowy Christmas Eve. With subzero temperatures it was a good day to stay indoors.
Wrapped Bridge Span
Walked under a span of the 10th Avenue Bridge that had been wrapped for repair. Thought about how artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude had wrapped the Pont Neuf in Paris. For a moment, imagined our Pont Avenue Dix as art.
