Because of a Beaver Dam…
Lake Agnes, today, from the Superior Hiking Trail. Without a beaver dam at one end, there wouldn’t be much of a lake.
The Road Less Traveled

En Route to Gitchee-Gami
Our Superior Hiking Trail hike included a ridge trail looking out towards Lake Superior: Cook County 1 to Temperance River, then the Gitchi-Gami trail back to Bluefin Bay for the night.
Full of Life
Nephews, full of life, Bluefin Bay (where we’re staying), north shore of Lake Superior, parents, uncles, and a pumpkin looking on.
Blustery Duluth Walk

Five Watt Earworm
Stopped at Five Watt Coffee for a cuppa. “California Dreamin” was playing in the background and inevitably became an earworm. On the way out, a red elevator lobby demanded my attention.
Chairs in a Park
On our walk: the Fairfield Chair Company had set up a pop-up showroom in Gold Medal Park for some interior decorators.
