Walked over to Zen Box Izakaya to pick up the charge card I’d left behind last Saturday, so of course we had to have ramen. I’d canceled the card, but wanted to hold onto it. It includes a layer of aluminum from a Northwest Airlines/Delta 747. I like to think I flew on it to…… Continue reading Piece of a 747

Happy Places
Chatted with nurse Danielle about her upcoming trip to Portugal while she set up an infusion line. I’ve now had two (of four) Lutetium-177 PSMA I&T (!) infusions and early results are promising. Danielle is excited about her first trip to Europe on Friday.
A Treat
Economy, aisle, right behind First, a favorite seat with excess leg room. A lovely flight attendant gave me a rather generous pour of the wine they’re serving up front. This is a treat, I’m grateful, and just mildly numb.
Stations of the Flight
Deicing fluid battered the fuselage at MSP, en route to Palm Springs.
Atomic Me
Got the first of four radioactive infusions. For a few days there’s no kissing or flying, which is easy, as I’m in Minneapolis and Dwight’s in Palm Springs. When I do return to Palm Springs, I may set off an airport radiation detector, which could be interesting.
Everybody’s Going Somewhere
Between 10 lanes of traffic at the intersection of the Metro A and C lines, Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station, on our way to LAX.
Monthly Drug Run
Today’s the day for my monthly drug run (meds). Metro Transit does a remarkable job keeping the buses running in all kinds of weather.
Getting my Coffee Fix
Made a pourover using a product I’ve not seen here. Every morning, in my hotel room in Japan, I made pourover coffees. Unlike pods, it’s biodegradable and it tastes pretty good. At home I prefer to grind my own, but when traveling it’s a convenient option.

Japan 2022 Itinerary
I’m home from a solo three-week trip to Japan. As usual, I made it up as I went along based on research, past experience, and whim.
I visited three of Japan’s main islands: Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku. Hokkaido didn’t make the list this time because winter was setting in there and I didn’t want to carry winter clothes.
