Stocking up Before the Storm

Minstrels played in the gallery of a local supermarket while I bought supplies for a weekend of hunkering down from snow and extreme cold.

Rode this seasonally appropriate city bus to Downtown.

Today is the official start of our Holiday Leftovers Season. I reincarnated root vegetable mash as “panko-encrusted croquettes.”

Departed from tradition: cooked a goose on the Weber.

Yesterday’s first snowfall inspired me to hang holiday lights today. We won’t switch them on until after Thanksgiving.

After my dental checkup this morning, did my bit to promote tooth decay. Stocked up on candy for Halloween trick-or-treaters.

Downtown and fading Fall colors from Lake of the Isles today. It’s hard to believe ice will be forming on the lake within the next 30 days.

Walked and cycled on Fall leaves.

Cycled to Lake Calhoun’s Tin Fish for lunch, but it was closed for the season. The last two stools were removed just after I took the photo.
