Decorations
These are our Christmas decorations. The marquee of The Guthrie, advertising “A Christmas Carol,” the “Gold Medal Flour” neon atop Mill City Museum, and the swoosh (lit path in Gold Medal Park) provide additional decoration. We will unbox our other decorations, Christmas 2019.
Splash of Color
Last night’s snow was sliding off Mill City Museum as I walked in search of splashes of color.
Cranberries in the Stuffing
Thanksgiving Day 2018, a good day to celebrate friends and family, and to be grateful. We put fresh cranberries in the stuffing.
Hmong Farmers
Bought produce for Thanksgiving, grown by Hmong American farmers, at our neighborhood Mill City Farmers Market.
Butter and Flour
Began stocking up on ingredients for Thanksgiving, starting with the important stuff: flour and butter for pie crusts.
Snowy Jog
Snow fell while we jogged.
State Fair in the Rain
Wandered around the State Fair in the rain.
Road-Building Season
It was raining, so I drove to an appointment. With all the road and bridge construction, my drive became a board game.
Fine Seasonal Lunch
This plus crusty bread made a fine seasonal lunch. Minnesota strawberries are at their best right now: they’re small and flavorful. I’m convinced a strawberry is allocated a fixed amount of flavor, whether it’s big or small.
