Anglepoise Lamps

Welcomed UK-designed and built Anglepoise lamps into our home. They first came out in 1935. I studied with one in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. This is new, essentially the 1970’s model with a twist: a Mondrian/De Stihl-inspired paint job.

A Corporate Church

Cycled with a friend on trails we’d never explored before, southwest of Minneapolis. Stopped for coffee at a mega-church. The coffee was good, the atmosphere was corporate.

Open Street: Franklin Avenue

Cycled down the middle of what is usually a busy thoroughfare. Franklin Avenue had been closed temporarily to traffic for about 20 blocks as part of the Minneapolis Open Streets initiative.
