Unzen-Amakusa National Park

Unzen-Amakusa National Park. Every time I saw a sign pointing to a peak, I climbed the peak.

Exhausting day exploring ancient cedar forests on Yakushima. Knotted ropes were helpful in the steep bits.

Florida Keys: we walked across the sea on a bridge that originally carried a railroad.

Hiked Arikok National Park.

My walking path today: the surface of Lake of the Isles. Next time I visit the lake, the path will be gone.

Hiked coastal trail, then late lunch at Duke’s (Lihue) before heading for the airport. LIH–HNL, HNL–SEA, SEA–MSP.

Kalalau Valley. We paused here then hiked swamp trails. We’ve backpacked to this valley then camped by the ocean.

What dangerous windchill? My nephews had a blast. We also ran through the skyways of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
