Snow Falling, Fresh Footprints

Snow falling, making fresh footprints. Walk and chat with a friend up one side of Mississippi and down the other.

Sunny winter’s day. Walked to library, Downtown.

Today, worked on shortlist of places to hike. Used Google, Google Earth, Garmin MapSource, Evernote, and a paper map.

Today, temperature soared to 18F so walked across Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun. Watched people ski-sailing.

First beer of 2014. New Year’s Day tradition: walk + lunch. Frigid weather = short walk.

A UK friend and I walked from Minneapolis to St. Paul, following the route of the light rail that will open in 2014.

Walked round Cedar Lake, light snow falling.
