Rotting Boards
Walked my bike across the Mississippi on rotting boards on a rail bridge.
Pause that Refreshes
On our cycle ride: bar lunch at Longfellow Grill.
Hub Bike Co-op
It was time for a new tire and inner tube.
The Remains of a Bridge
Cycled to the middle of the Mississippi on a former railroad bridge. The rest of the bridge, a swing bridge, has been removed.
Crossing a Work Zone
For the second time this week the trail was blocked by construction. I was planning a lengthy detour, when a member of the crew came up to me and cheerfully led me through the work site. He was grateful today’s high would be in the 80’s and not the 100’s.
Nice Fenders
Rode a Nice Ride shared bike, first time ever. I appreciated the fenders.
Games
On our way back from haircuts, tied up our bikes and popped into Longfellow’s Grill for brunch. A women’s softball game played on the other screens
Freewheel Bike
Popped into Freewheel Bike to buy a new bike lock. The old lock could be opened with a pen.
Pursuit of Inspiration
Cycled in pursuit of inspiration. Came up dry at City Salvage.
