Imagining Travel
Lightning and welcome heavy rain made it a good day to imagine an adventurous trip next summer with our nephews and their dad. We’ve booked the flights, now we can plan possibilities.
Hanging by a Thread
While chasing down a rattle, Dwight discovered we’d probably driven from Up North with an important bolt missing from the roof bike rack. Replaced the bolt, grateful we didn’t do any hard stops followed by my bike running down the windshield. Note to self: check bolts.
Unfortunate Airport Code
Just booked a flight from Fukuoka to Sapporo/New Chitose for a trip next summer with our teenage nephews and their dad. We’ll have rail passes, but it’s a 1,200 mile journey by bullet trains. The boys will have a field day with one of the airport codes.

Grateful for Normal. Cycled to Longfellow Grill for lunch. The vaccines keep on giving.
Grateful for a Restaurant Lunch
I no longer take for granted being able walk into a restaurant and order a ramen bowl. Grateful for lunch at moto-i.

Japan 2022
I’m in high gear planning travel. Made the first reservation for a summer 2022 backpacking trip to Japan with our nephews (they’ll be 12 and 13) and their dad. We’ll explore less popular, more remote areas. On the way home, we’ll spend time in Hawaii where their mom will join us.
