Welcoming Chilly

Cycled through humidity the long way round to Longfellow Grill for air conditioning and chilly Steel Toe Size Sevens.

It is one of life’s pleasures to enjoy morning coffee and a pastry in places with WiFi passwords like “wetbanana” while the world rushes by.

Cycled to a Nordeast Minneapolis hip spot where we met friends from Portland, Oregon, and planned to get together, down-under, in January.

Lunch with friends at Hell’s Kitchen, Minneapolis. We made different menu choices, but were united by a common ingredient: bacon.

Cycled to Bde Maka Ska, the largest lake in Minneapolis. Feasted on fish and chips at Tin Fish for the first time this season

Dined at the New New Bengal, Newcastle upon Tyne. We had to change dinner plans a few years ago the night the New Bengal went up in flames.

We cleaned our plates at an old Maui institution: Mama’s Fish House. We enjoyed the freshest fish, cooked well: spendy, but worth it.

Satisfied my craving for comfort food at moto-i, a sake brewery: bibimbab washed down with local beer, Fulton’s Sweet Child of Vine.

All but two of the fourteen counter stools were occupied when we walked into the tiny Ideal Diner for a mid-morning breakfast.
