Cycled the lovely Gateway and Brown’s Creek State Trails to Stillwater. Crossed the St. Croix River on the car-free Stillwater Lift Bridge. Enjoyed a short delay on the way back from the Wisconsin side.

My cycle ride took me to the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Fireplace in St. Paul’s Como Park. Kilmer was a poet (“I think that I shall never see, a poem as lovely as a tree”) who was killed in the Second Battle of the Marne in World War I. He never visited Minnesota.

Drove an electric vehicle for the first time ever. I've signed up for a carshare program, no subscription fee, billed by the minute. You find the nearest car on a map then drop it off at just about any regular street parking spot... which I did, right outside our building.
