Hike #2: Waimea Canyon, “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” Met a hunter desperately trying to find his dog.
Looking Down at Na Pali
Hike #1: looking down at Na Pali Coast. Next Monday we’ll hike the Kalalau Trail and camp down there.
Precious Salt
Traditional salt pond. Can’t buy salt, can only give. Lady at front desk brought in the pink salt for us.
Off to Lihue
At HNL Interisland, off to Lihue, Kauai. Dw 5 hours out from Lihue.
Obeying Orders
Woman jogging, pushing stroller, dog alongside. Child tries to stand. Mom: “SIT DOWN.” Dog runs in front and sits down. Child almost flew.
Bricked Phone
Thanks Dasani. Water leaked, soaked phone at bottom of day pack. Now it’s bricked, settled in a bag of rice. Travel isn’t always pretty pix.
