Enjoyed lunch with a friend at Kramarczuk’s. The deli was founded by a couple who escaped Soviet oppression in post World War II Ukraine.

I planned to walk all nine miles of the Minneapolis skyway system. After an hour, sensory deprivation forced me out to the streets and rain.

Walked past Brick Head sculpture in Uptown on our way to “I Am Not Your Negro.” American blindness.

Continued simplifying our lives. Listed seven more items we’ll never use again on Craigslist and eBay. Proceeds to Doctors Without Borders.

Ran errands by bicycle for the first time this year. It was warm enough to wear shorts.

Walked past a graduating gopher: chainsaw art, University of Minnesota.

With temperatures soaring into the 30’s, it was time for Hawaiian slack key.

Today it was back to everyday life. I actually enjoy food shopping.

Notified of flight delay during our bar lunch at Grand Central Terminal. Enjoyed bonus 2-hour walk instead of going straight to LaGuardia.

Being Minnesotan, we were grateful our cheaper seats at “The Comet of 1812” on Broadway kept us from interacting with the actors, mostly.

Explored the Brooklyn waterfront, then walked back to Manhattan across the Brooklyn Bridge.

We flew all the way to New York, and ended up in Hershey’s Chocolate World where we bought (and soon consumed) dark peanut butter cups.

Walked past 19th century homes on Nicollet Island in the middle of the Mississippi, close to Downtown.

Explored a timely collection of photographs at the Minneapolis Institute of Art: “Resistance, Protest, Resilience.”
