Booked flights for an adventure with our nephews (they'll be 7 and 8) and their parents.
Planned an old-fashioned afternoon tea in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, for family and friends.
Edinburgh, first evening, nephews and their parents in tow. Misty view from main shopping street, Princes Street.
We climbed Arthur's Seat, then visited Holyroodhouse, where the Queen stays when in Edinburgh. She wasn't home.
We did a lot of peering through gaps at Edinburgh Castle.

Rode this replica "Steam Elephant" at Beamish open air museum. The original was built in Northeast England in 1815.

Friends, family, cakes, finger sandwiches, scones, sausage rolls. A perfect last evening in Newcastle and the UK.
