The Mississippi raged below as I crossed the Third Avenue Bridge. Last night’s Aquatennial fireworks were launched from this bridge.

While Putin Denied…

While Putin denied, I cycled in search of Russia. I started at St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral and ended at a Russian Teahouse that’s closed until November when it will open once a week on Fridays for four hours.

My maternal grandfather, my Aunt Madge, my brother, and I had been summoned to “the Kremlin.” Madge consistently referred to her brother’s Glasgow home as “the Kremlin.” This reflected her disconnect with her brother, Malcolm.
