Precious Salt

Traditional salt pond. Can’t buy salt, can only give. Lady at front desk brought in the pink salt for us.

At HNL Interisland, off to Lihue, Kauai. Dw 5 hours out from Lihue.

Woman jogging, pushing stroller, dog alongside. Child tries to stand. Mom: “SIT DOWN.” Dog runs in front and sits down. Child almost flew.

Thanks Dasani. Water leaked, soaked phone at bottom of day pack. Now it’s bricked, settled in a bag of rice. Travel isn’t always pretty pix.

…then the tide washed away my footprints

Now walked over half the North Shore, and rewarded with views like this.

Almost fell over one of these. 200lbs, and not leaving the spot.

Nearest restaurant, 2 miles from guest house. Yes, it’s a truck, but you’ll find it on Google Maps.

Surfing’s holy of holies. I was imagining D and C insisting on riding the banzai pipeline on their boogie boards.

Tuesday lunch, Oahu North Shore. Kailua Pork + Fire Rock.
