10th Avenue Bridge

Walked under the 10th Avenue Bridge, currently undergoing major rehabilitation. It’s next to the Interstate 35W Bridge that replaces a bridge that collapsed, without warning, during rush hour in August 2007.

Our Country Club

On Stone Arch Bridge, part of Central Mississippi Riverfront Regional Park. The Minneapolis park system is one of the top reasons we live where we live. Hyperlocal Beer

Bought hyperlocal. Walked a couple blocks from our home to a brewpub where I picked up a growler of “Curbside Ale” at the front entrance.

Eero and Eliel Saarinen in Minneapolis

Cycled to Christ Church Lutheran, completed 1949, hidden in a South Minneapolis residential neighborhood. The church members had opted for a Gothic structure, but fortunately a new pastor signed up Eliel Saarinen. In 1962, even more famous son, Eero, supervised an extension.
