Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail

Cycled the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail, south of the Cities, through countryside and the occasional small town.

Crossed 12 bridges I cannot cross by car.

I navigated for an Air France pilot and his friend: easier to cycle with them to Lake Calhoun than give directions.

Nordeast Minneapolis: Cycled above train tracks with a friend.

Cycled beside the Mississippi past early Minneapolis. Tailraces from flour mills used to drain into this canal.

Damp day: a good day to plan a Superior Trail hike. (Any day is a good day to plan a hike.)

On my cycle ride, paused for coffee in the North Loop (Minneapolis Warehouse District).

My walking path today: the surface of Lake of the Isles. Next time I visit the lake, the path will be gone.

Lake of the Isles today: Ice-Henge. Various structures are being unveiled on the lake for tomorrow’s Luminary Loppet.
