Hiked the Nu’alolo Trail, Koke’e State Park.
Ishihara House
Sat on the lanai of our second Kauai VRBO, the Ishihara House, looking at the foothills of Waimea Canyon, the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” The house is plantation-style, with a 1930’s old-Hawaii vibe and nods to Japan. And it’s less expensive than most rentals.

Nursed a depiction of a volcanic eruption while waiting for a delicious Hawaiian plate lunch.
