First Big Snowstorm

Downtown Minneapolis, Monday morning, 7:30 a.m., first big snowstorm of season. I should still be in bed.

On this cold day, loaded maps for hikes in a warm place.

Walked past a reminder for the season: yes, the garden hose should be disconnected in this freezing weather.

White Thanksgiving. Finally it snowed.

Dress rehearsal for Thanksgiving. I still have my fingers.

My path was blocked by a warming house being set up for the Lake of the Isles rink. There was no skating today.

The shadows may be long, but the weather is perfect for cycling.

A good day to work in a still-colorful yard.

It’s difficult to eat Halloween candy and olives at the same time.
