Icehenge

On my Lake of the Isles jog today: Icehenge setup. The wooden forms will be removed and the resultant ice columns illuminated by candles.

Walked on fresh snow through Nordeast Minneapolis.

Snow fell, I walked.

Walked on Lake of the Isles for the first time this winter.

Stored our minimalistic Christmas tree in a mailing tube. It’s made from naturally fallen Minnesota timber: see post.

Walked to Uptown to escape to a guilty pleasure, “La La Land”.

Stood on our porch, watching the 2016 sun go down for the last time.

Walked along the near-grayscale Kenilworth Trail.

Walked with friends beside the Mississippi.

Today: British Christmas cake baked by a friend visiting from the UK. Booze-fortified fruit cake, lots of marzipan, icing, evoked memories.
