Every now and then, when out cycling, I like to take in the latest exhibit at The Smallest Museum in St. Paul. The current show is “Paint it Before you Eat it” by local artist Lisa Burke who “loves the idea of art that can fit in one’s pocket, or in an Altoid box.”

Oblivious to a Changing World
Spotted these at the Andersen Library, University of Minnesota. Also on display was a thoughtful letter from a 19-year-old to the author (both female). The author’s response was condescending, rude, and oblivious to the changing world of the 1970’s.
Spoonbridge and Cherry
After cycling past the knockoff Spoonbridge and Cherry skateboard jump ramp last week it was time to revisit the original sculpture.
Hennepin Medical History Center

Visited the new Bell Museum of natural history where I experienced a digital planetarium for the first time.

At the Sapporo Beer Museum. I’m grateful to be able to hold my beer in more ways than one, two months after surgery.

Discovered the “Smallest Museum in St. Paul” in a fire hose cabinet outside Workhorse Cafe, University and Raymond.
Museum of Russian Art
A friend and I cycled to the Museum of Russian Art to explore an exhibition about the Battle of Stalingrad.
