Walk across Lava Fields

Walked shoreline, then back across lava fields on an old trail (Kings’ Highway).

Wrote about hiking in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Two days hiking Volcanoes National Park. For me, hiking is not sightseeing, but there’s plenty sights along the way.

Today, walked along Kennilworth Trail, Minneapolis. Next time, the ice will be gone, and I’ll be on my bicycle

Snow falling, making fresh footprints. Walk and chat with a friend up one side of Mississippi and down the other.

Sunny winter’s day. Walked to library, Downtown.

Today, worked on shortlist of places to hike. Used Google, Google Earth, Garmin MapSource, Evernote, and a paper map.

Today, temperature soared to 18F so walked across Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun. Watched people ski-sailing.

First beer of 2014. New Year’s Day tradition: walk + lunch. Frigid weather = short walk.
