Koke’e State Park Hike

Our hike in Koke’e State Park started with this view of the Napali Coast. We hiked backcountry trails where most of the vegetation is still native. Towards the end it rained, and we hit mud. Hot showers, the washer and dryer, and Dwight’s boot-cleaning skills.

Okolehao Trail

Hiked Kauai’s muddy Okolehao Trail to great views. Some areas in the distance are still off-limits after 50-inches of rain in 24 hours in April 2018 destroyed roads, bridges, and trails. This was the most rain ever recorded in the United States.

Snowdrifts

Walked in heavy snow to my Wednesday gig. Snowdrifts were surprisingly deep under this overpass.

Bus to the Edge

Took a bus to the northern edge of Minneapolis. Walked back.

Indoor Hike

Walked a few miles around Downtown with friends without ever going outside to the bitter cold. The Father of Waters towered over us in Minneapolis City Hall.

A New Walking Route

Walked to this view along a road I had never walked along before. I had previously, incorrectly, thought the road, connecting two University of Minnesota district heating plants, was private.

Patient Canoes

While I walked, canoes waited for the ice to melt on Lake of the Isles, Minneapolis.
