Cycling Beside Ice
A cool breeze blew off Bde Maka Ska, creating a significant temperature drop as we cycled by. Today is the latest I have seen ice on this lake.
Three Days in a Row
Lifted my bike off its rack, third day in a row.
45th Parallel
Cycled in search of the 45th parallel. Found a rock, a plaque, and a lost glove.
Bike Tune
The mechanic replaced a damaged chain link then spun the wheel, over and over, while checking gear changes, back and forth, making minor adjustments. He then pumped up the tires. I continued the journey on my well-tuned bike, $10 lighter.
University of St. Thomas
Cycled in shirtsleeve weather past a vaguely ecclesiastical entrance to the athletic field at the University of St. Thomas.
