Zig and Zag
Cycled to St. Paul’s Lake Como with a friend. On the way back, zigged and zagged up a ramp to get to this pedestrian bridge. Once, it must have traversed more than the two rail tracks below.
Luce Line to Medicine Lake
Cycled west out of of Minneapolis on a section of the Luce Line, then around Medicine Lake, my longest ride this year.
Cycling through Fall Colors
Cycled through fall colors.
Bridges of Hennepin County
Crossed thirteen Mississippi bridges on a “The Bridges of Hennepin County” cycle ride with a friend. On this bridge, we pushed our bicycles while avoiding eye contact with the locomotive operator
Wet Stripe Down Back
Lightning crashed overhead while I had a haircut. When the storm let up, I cycled home with a wet stripe down my back.
Lake Harriet Pit Stop
Our Wednesday tradition: cycle to the Chain of Lakes, stop at Lake Harriet for a breakfast sandwich and coffee, continue along the Minnehaha Creek, then up the Mississippi to home.
Bicycle-Friendly Road Markings
Cycled past city workers who were busy refreshing bicycle-friendly road surface markings.
Triple Header
A triple header slowly hauled dozens of freight cars as I waited to continue my cycle ride.
Bending Rules
There was no one to challenge me, so I hoisted my bike over the rails. In the distance, a railroad service vehicle slowly moved along the track.
