The End of Our Apple Tree

Today the executioners came for our beloved, but diseased apple tree.

Paused at some (presumably) guerrilla art on my walk round Lake of the Isles today.

Patches of green making a brief appearance in our yard.

After food shopping at Wedge Coop, spotted this bike brightening up a drab day, then got back on my unadorned bike.

Looked out the window while making coffee this morning.

Fall colors persist in our back yard.

Raked apples before mowing. The squirrels take one or two bites then drop them out of the tree.

Sunny a.m. = cycling southern Grand Rounds. Grey p.m. with rain in forecast = slow cooking (stock, and carnitas).
