Reluctant Replacement

There was no replacement for a failed part in our 22-year-old washer/dryer. Today, we reluctantly bought stacked scratch-and-dent units.

Our sunroom lived up to its name today.

We’ve lived in the neighborhood for decades, finally we visited the Purcell-Cutts house (now owned by the Minneapolis Institute of Art).

Walked past the Lake of the Isles skating rink.

Walked on Lake of the Isles for the first time this winter.

Stood on our porch, watching the 2016 sun go down for the last time.

Blue was the dominant color as I walked beside Lake of the Isles today.

Cedar Lake, on my walk today: dock, brief freedom until trapped by ice.

Today, our tomatoes continued to ripen.

Harvested kale for dinner tonight. This promises to be the longest growing season ever recorded.
