Stopped in our Tracks

Walked with friends. Our conversation stopped when we saw these wildflowers planted in the strip between sidewalk and road.

A “sold” sign announced we are short-timers in our home.

Tidied my man cave (formerly my office) to an unnatural degree. We’re ready for a buyer for this and the rest of our home.

Our flower towers demanded our attention.

Once I filled The Brute with weeds, I fled on my bike to avoid seeing more yard interlopers. At least no weeds will be knee-high by the 4th.

Loaded the car for a trip “Up North.” Hid the garage door opener to avert a collision when we return.

Photographed circuit breakers: if there’s heavy snow while we’re traveling, we’ll get these turned on to prevent ice dams on our old house.

The wind whipped up Lake of the Isles, ice was gone, as I ran.

Our laundry dried at Giant Wash Coin Laundry while I bought groceries at nearby Wedge Co-op.

There was no replacement for a failed part in our 22-year-old washer/dryer. Today, we reluctantly bought stacked scratch-and-dent units.
