No more goopy stuff: 3D digital impression of my mouth

Pleasant surprise at the dentist this morning: digital impressions. Instead of the usual trays of goop for my crown prep, they used a special camera. I got to see a 3D/rotating digital model of my mouth with and without the crown, which was then sent to the lab. (Red reveals the bite surfaces.)

Real Enough

Dentist did a great job preparing a tooth for a crown. On the way home, stopped at Moto-i for comfort food: bibimbap. I felt grateful for modern dentistry and temporarily forgot I had a temporary crown. Interstitial Brushes

Well that’s a first: today, the dental hygienist declared my gums to be “good.” Maybe it’s the interstitial brushes I’ve been using every day for the last six months. Or, maybe, the hygienist was simply in a good mood.

Had my head examined, or maybe it was just my teeth: once-every-five-year full-mouth dental x-ray.

Braced myself for a routine dental cleaning and checkup. There were no unexpected extractions from my wallet.
